What bmiMD is, and what this review evaluates

bmiMD, also searched for as BMI MD, operates as a technology platform connecting customers with independent medical providers and dispensing pharmacies. Its terms identify Medccm Inc. as the platform operator and distinguish that business from the clinician making a prescribing decision. This review focuses on its standard compounded GLP-1 programs, not its separate microdose, supplement or other wellness products.

We reviewed public documentation on September 17, 2026. We did not purchase treatment, test medication, audit pharmacy licences or measure support performance. The useful comparison here is between the published service, total payment commitment and consumer policies—not a prediction of medical results.

Service model & eligibility

Business model

Direct-pay subscription plans, with prepaid multi-month options and independent clinician approval before prescription fulfillment.

Advertised conditions / use cases
  • Weight management
Programs / services

Care / service model

Medical intake is reviewed by an independent licensed provider, who may approve or decline prescribing. The pharmacy fills an approved prescription; subsequent care is managed through the portal.

Consultation method

Online intake and telehealth review, with clinician messaging and assigned follow-up forms in the patient portal.

Eligibility / exclusions

Adults at least 18 or the local age of majority where higher; clinical assessment and location-specific availability still apply.

Lab testing

Product information mentions metabolic testing as necessary. A fixed lab panel, universal requirement and all associated charges were not independently established.

Pricing & payment

Starting price

Product-page semaglutide: $159 for one month, or $119/month equivalent on a $1,428 prepaid 12-month plan; campaign prices may differ.

Consultation fee

Provider visit included in the displayed GLP-1 plan. An initial post-approval cancellation may incur a separate $50 fee.

Membership / subscription price

GLP-1 plans are subscriptions; no additional stand-alone membership charge appears in the reviewed product table.

Medication pricing

Product-page monthly plans: semaglutide $159; tirzepatide $249. Twelve-month equivalents: $119 and $179, with plan totals of $1,428 and $2,148. See the complete plan table and offer qualifications.

Insurance

The reviewed GLP-1 offers use direct-pay prices. Insurance billing or reimbursement for the selected plan was not independently confirmed.

HSA / FSA

A dedicated provider page advertises HSA/FSA payment or reimbursement; individual plan eligibility must be confirmed separately.

Payment methods
  • Card payment
  • HSA/FSA options advertised, subject to individual eligibility

Published GLP-1 pricing by plan length

The official semaglutide and tirzepatide product pages display the following subscription prices. These are advertised figures, not a completed checkout quote or a promise about a future renewal.

Plan periodSemaglutide monthly equivalentSemaglutide plan totalTirzepatide monthly equivalentTirzepatide plan total
1 month$159$159$249$249
3 months$149$447$229$687
6 months$129$774$189$1,134
12 months$119$1,428$179$2,148

The subscription help article describes multi-month plans as prepaid upfront. The lowest monthly equivalent therefore is not the smallest initial payment. The homepage also displays different seasonal campaign headlines; we have not assumed those promotions apply to the product-page plans or to our referral link.

The product pages include the medical-provider visit and shipping and advertise the same price across dose levels. Our reading is limited to the selected plan: a dose-price statement should not be treated as a permanent price guarantee or as evidence that every future prescription will have identical terms.

The trade-off behind a lower monthly equivalent

A prepaid plan can make a headline look more affordable while requiring a much larger cash commitment. To compare it fairly with another provider, keep the first payment, supply period and cancellation consequences together. Dividing an annual total by twelve does not turn the purchase into twelve independently cancelable monthly orders.

bmiMD’s subscription help states that cancellation concerns future billing and does not reimburse unused portions of an active prepaid plan after fulfillment begins. That is a material limitation for someone comparing flexibility, even when the price table itself is clearly displayed.

Medications & fulfillment

Medications
  • Compounded semaglutide injection
  • Compounded tirzepatide injection
Pharmacy / fulfillment model

Terms name Precision Compounding Pharmacy, Bellmore, New York, and describe state-dependent pharmacy selection. Actual order assignment, licensing and batch testing were not independently audited.

Shipping / fulfillment

Prescription medication and supplies are shipped by a pharmacy after clinical approval.

Shipping cost

Free on the displayed subscription plans.

Shipping time

Homepage describes usual shipment/delivery timing of 3–5 business days after prescription approval; not an independently tested guarantee.

Who supplies the medication?

The platform’s terms name Precision Compounding Pharmacy in Bellmore, New York, while explaining that the actual pharmacy can depend on the patient’s state. Naming a potential dispenser is useful for follow-up research, but it is not confirmation that the same pharmacy fills every order. We have not independently verified its current licensing or an individual shipment’s testing records.

These programs advertise compounded medicines. They should not be confused with FDA-approved branded products or approved generic equivalents. The FDA’s explanation of compounded drugs distinguishes their regulatory status. Our pharmacy verification guide covers the records to check once the actual dispenser is known.

Support & policies

Customer support

Patient-portal guide describes typical clinician replies within 24–72 hours, despite round-the-clock access wording on sales pages.

Support channels
  • Patient portal for clinical messages
  • Online account for subscription changes
  • Official help center: https://help.bmimd.com/
Cancellation policy

Portal cancellation affects future billing. Terms state at least 48 hours before monthly processing; newer help recommends 48 business hours before renewal. Already charged or fulfilled orders and unused prepaid portions are restricted.

Refund policy

Newer help says no charge or $50 fee after clinical ineligibility; $50 applies to an initial cancellation after approval and before pharmacy processing. Fulfilled medication and unused prepaid periods are generally non-refundable. Sitewide policy wording differs; confirm applicable terms.

Clinician access is not an instant-response guarantee

Product pages advertise round-the-clock clinician access. More specifically, the patient-portal guide says the independent provider typically responds within 24–72 hours. The portal contains messages, treatment information and assigned forms; order and billing issues use separate administrative routes. This distinction makes the support promise easier to evaluate than interpreting access as immediate medical attention.

When the $50 cancellation fee applies

The May 27, 2026 order-refund article says a $50 review and administration fee applies to cancellation of an initial consultation after provider approval but before pharmacy processing. It excludes clinical ineligibility, pre-approval cancellation and ordinary refill or renewal cancellations from that particular fee. Once an order enters pharmacy processing or fulfillment, its stated refund options are substantially restricted.

There is also wording to reconcile before relying on a deadline: the main terms require cancellation at least 48 hours before monthly processing, while newer help documentation recommends 48 business hours before renewal and discusses future billing. The sitewide refund page uses broader initial-intake fee wording than the newer help article. We have preserved those differences rather than deciding which document controls an individual contract.

Pros

  • Four plan lengths have explicit totals in the product pages
  • Provider visit and subscription shipping are included
  • Terms name a potential pharmacy rather than only describing a generic network
  • Help center gives specific messaging and cancellation instructions

Cons

  • Cheapest monthly equivalents require larger prepaid commitments
  • Unused prepaid periods are generally not refundable after fulfillment starts
  • Cancellation and fee wording differs between some official documents
  • Published service and testing claims have not been independently performance-tested

Our editorial assessment

bmiMD provides useful plan totals, a named potential pharmacy and detailed account-support documentation. The main purchasing trade-off is between a lower monthly equivalent and a non-refundable prepaid commitment. Source-specific offers and slightly different cancellation wording still require attention; the score is not an endorsement of every promotional claim.

Our weighted editorial rating assesses documented service processes and transparency, not medication effectiveness, clinical safety or customer-review averages. Prescribing and treatment decisions remain with the licensed clinician.

Editorial rating

Calculated from six fixed weighted editorial criteria. How we rate providers

3.5/5
Clinical process & safeguards 25% weight

Intake, independent prescribing decisions, clinician messaging and follow-up forms are documented. This supports the process assessment without implying an audit of clinical outcomes or individual credentials.

3.5/5 3.5
Pricing & transparency 20% weight

Product tables disclose monthly equivalents and total commitments across four plan lengths. Different campaign headlines and unverified future renewal quotes limit a stronger assessment; prepayment is distinguished from monthly billing.

3.5/5 3.5
Access & convenience 15% weight

The provider advertises nationwide access, online review and pharmacy delivery, with account-based administration. These are documented conveniences, subject to eligibility and state-specific prescribing requirements.

4.0/5 4
Ongoing support 15% weight

The help center clearly separates clinical messaging from billing support and publishes a typical 24–72-hour clinician response window. Actual performance was not tested.

3.5/5 3.5
Medication & fulfillment transparency 15% weight

A potential dispensing pharmacy is named and platform, clinician and pharmacy roles are separated. Credit is for traceability, not independently verified licence status or batch quality.

3.5/5 3.5
Policies & trust 10% weight

Detailed fee and cancellation explanations are available, but prepaid-refund restrictions and differences between terms and help articles require care. These limit policy clarity rather than establishing misconduct.
