The $89 headline is a membership price
The homepage FAQ describes membership from $89 to $169 per month depending on coaching support. It separately states that medication pricing is confirmed after the provider consultation. The advertised starting figure therefore should not be presented as a complete monthly medication bill.
A useful comparison needs four entries: membership, medication, shipping and any additional charges. A lower service fee can still produce a higher total than an all-in program. We have not verified a current complete quote for the Vital Review referral, so JRNYS is not ranked here as a lowest-cost medication option.
The site’s discussion of six- and twelve-month curricula describes program design. It does not, by itself, establish that every customer prepays six or twelve months. The actual checkout interval and commitment are the relevant financial terms.
Insurance assistance is not insurance coverage for membership
The weight-loss page explains that JRNYS does not directly bill insurance, while the dispensing pharmacy may submit a medication claim. Support with coverage or prior authorization does not guarantee approval or remove the separate membership charge.
We have not used a headline insured copay as a universal cash price. An insured prescription quote, a self-pay prescription and a membership-only offer belong in different comparison columns. This prevents an eligibility-dependent benefit from being presented as available to every reader.

A medical review does not always mean a live appointment
JRNYS’ public company replies explain that the paid service can involve a clinician reviewing submitted information asynchronously rather than conducting a live call, depending on the treatment and state. This is the company’s explanation, not an independent test of what each customer receives. Its importance is commercial: the point at which a paid review occurs may matter for refunds.
The website names branded prescription options, but that does not establish that a particular product is in stock, covered by insurance or appropriate for an individual. We do not infer the availability or formulation of a compounded product from another review site’s description. The exact prescription and dispenser remain separate from the platform membership.

Initial review fees become non-refundable after medical review, but official pages differ between $89 and $35. Proration wording also differs. Shipped products cannot be returned under the published policy.
Two official pages give different non-refundable fee figures
The standalone cancellation policy, carrying a January 2023 effective date, specifies a $89 initial telehealth fee that becomes non-refundable after the doctor reviews the profile. The Terms & Conditions, updated May 2026, give $35 in the corresponding clause and contain alternative bracketed language about prorated refunds.
We cannot establish from these pages alone which fee or refund provision governs a new enrollment. We have not selected the more favorable figure or assumed that one page has been formally withdrawn. Written confirmation of the applicable terms would resolve that inconsistency.
The separate cancellation page also requires seven days’ notice before renewal. This is a different deadline from an appointment-change cutoff or the point after which shipped medication cannot be returned. An account cancellation should not be treated as an automatic refund of every earlier charge.
